So-some friends flew in and said let's drink some red Burgundy, I ran to Bouchon Bakery gathered some Brioche, butter and my Oatmeal.
Long story short,
I enjoyed some 2011 DRC La Tache with my breakfast and it was beyond awesome!
Same thing today, having a late breakfast with this awesome value driven CDP and boom! It's delicious anytime of day!

2018 Domaine de la Charbonniere
CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE
Leading off the four Châteauneuf du Pape releases, the 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape (70% Grenache and 15% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre) offers lots of blackberry fruits as well as notes of violets, flowers, and sandy, loamy earth. It’s medium-bodied, with a silky texture, ripe tannins, and the charming nature of the vintage front and center.
About The Estate
One of the finest run estates in Châteauneuf du Pape is the Maret family’s Domaine de la Charbonnière, which is in the heart of the appellation, just off the route to Courthezon. They produce four Châteauneuf du Pape (readers should read last year’s report on the 2016 and 2017s for a description of each of the cuvées), all meriting attention. In addition, they’ve added two new Vacqueyras releases, bringing the total from that appellation to three cuvées. The 2017s aren’t far off what was achieved in 2016, and the 2018s all showed beautifully, with more depth and richness that most in the vintage.
